Limits on applying student visa onshore

From 01July2024, the visitor visa holders and temporary graduate visa holders will not be eligible to extend their stay in Australia by applying onshore student visas. The genuine students with these visas are still eligible to apply the student visas offshore, which requires the applicants preparing sufficient time for visa processing before the commence of the courses.
